Assignments
Students will be given daily assignments. Anything not finished in class will be homework. My philosophy is that these assignments are time for you to practice what you learned in that day’s lesson. If you do not practice, you may not be able to do the work on the quizzes or tests. I grade homework on whether it’s complete with work shown. Homework is worth 5 points per assignment.
5 points on time and complete with work shown.
4 points on time and 80-99% complete with work shown, or 100% complete with no work.
3 points on time and 60-79% complete with work shown.
2 points on time and 40-59% complete with work shown.
1 points on time and 20-39% complete with work shown.
0 points on time and up to 19% complete with work shown.
I will give 3 points if your assignment is turned in late, and complete.
After grading the assignments in class, students have the opportunity to earn extra credit. Students can be awarded up to 2.5 extra points if they fix the incorrect problems and show all their work.
